oh oh, i'm so into accessories

You probably don't know me enough to say what i'm mostly fond of but i'm really obsessed with bags, especially big ones...that's why today i want you to know which ones i'd love to own:

this black one is by Anna Corinna

and this one also is by Anna Corinna and i think this tobacco shade is lovely

And these 2 are both from Giorgio Brato...aren't they amazing?!

And i'd love to know what's your biggest obsession in fashion...i'm curious!

Now i want to talk about paris fashion week which has not ended yet but, until now, gave me the chance to spot some really interesting stuff. The best shows were those of Rick Owens, Dries van Noten, Ann Demeulemeester, Givenchy, Vivienne Westwood and Cacharel. And below you can see some of my favourite outfits.

here's the thing: i really love Forever21 . It's an amazing website and they've lots of cool stuff at a good price, especially tops and some dresses and in case you don't know it yet you should go check it out now 'cause it's worth a visit. They sell that kind of thing that you can easily pair with basic designer goods, such as pants or jackets, and their stuff is great for springtime. Here's some of my favourite pieces:

If you do have a fav online store you wanna recommend please let me know.

there's a new cool brand out there, it's called Zoltar the magnificient and they have some really great men stuff. The t-shirts have really colourful prints and also the accessories are amazing and funky...unfortunately there's not a women collection yet but we do hope it'll come as soon as possible.

If you want to download the complete lookbook click here

I saved the video i made of the Les Copains Women f/w 2007-08 Milan fashion show but Youtube.com removed it 'cause they say it violates the terms of use, so i've to find a way to save it somewhere else.Let me know if you have any suggestions. There were lots of wool capes, fur borders, soft and warm wool hats, lots of tricot and mini-dresses with glittering applications on 'em...enjoy!

Anyway, if you want to see the whole collection go to http://www.style.it and click on "sfilate" and then choose Les Copains among the list of designers.

i asked to some of my friends which magazines they like to read the most, so here's the results:

These 5 magazines are the ones people interested in fashion like to read the most here in Italy...i'd love to know how's in the rest of the world.Let me know guys!

Talking about other stuff, i'm planning to go tomorrow to the Martin Margiela Artisanal exhibition at the Carla Sozzani Gallery here in Milan which is ending the 28th of february and i didn't have time to see it before because of the exams...i'm sure it's gonna be really interesting.

I went to school today and we talked about summer 2008 trends and fabrics we should use for the final collection. My teacher gave me the invitation for the Les Copains fashion show which will take place on the 22nd of february at 10.30 a.m. I'm going there with one of my best friends and classmates, Giada, and i'm sure we'll have lots of fun.Pictures coming soon!

We all get inspiration from celebs ( intentionally or not) but there are certain differences between us and celebs:
1-they're super rich so they can afford stuff we can't and designers give 'em clothes and accessories for free.

2-they've a whole entourage who's in charge of making 'em beatiful (stylists, make-up artists, hairstylists, etc...).
The only thing we can do to try to look as fab as them is observing what they wear and look for it in cheap shops or searching into our mums and grandmas' closets or even create those accessories or clothes by ourselves (which can be really funny also!).

One of the hottest trends this season is wearing bugeye shades

but if you can't afford Chanel or Dior ones (or other labels) you'll find really unexpensive models at H&M, thrift stores, markets, ebay, etc.
Everyone is wearing them now on the streets; they give a misterious look, they're useful to hide the signs of a nonsleep night and they're 60's inspired so they add a touch of vintage to your look. Sometimes accessories are more important than clothes in an outfit, always remember this!

If you want to know more about this trend there's an interesting article right here .

Welcome!

Welcome to Coffee & Style! This is a brand new blog created to give you some tips about fashion, personal style and show you some pics taken from the streets and useful sources. I'm a fashion design student in Milan and on july i'll graduate; i've always been interested in fashion, sewing and drawing and i've always been really curious about the inspirations that are behind a personal style so here's the idea of creating a blog about that. There are lots of blogs about fashion, about accessories, street fashion etc...my idea is to combine all these things and write my opinion about them.

I decided to call it Coffee and Style 'cause i always drink lots of coffee while writing and, since i spent many nights awake drawing and sewing clothes for the exams, coffee has become one of my best friends during these past years; and Style, well, is what i'm gonna talk about on this blog.

So welcome and i hope you'll come visit me soon again!
